It had been just over two weeks since Asmodeus had found Ariel at the riverbank, and brought him home with every intention of fulfilling a promise that the demon had made - immortality for alchemic knowledge.
So far, it had been going well, the redhead learning diligently from the stoned alchemist, in each form the prince of Hell had. But it was obvious that Ariel much preferred the company of the female form, so by the end of week two, she only appeared in that form when visiting.
It was midway through a lesson that she noticed something. As she laid her charcoal pencil's end lightly against her plush lips in thought, she realized that all focus left from the lesson to her motion, and it was then that Asmodeus knew that it wasn't mere noticing as men generally do - this was becoming an infatuation. She was pleased, though she didn't let it be known that she was. She dragged the pencil slowly away from her lips as she licked off a bit of the coal that had smudged there and looked up at him, "So, to achieve transubstantiation, from one element to the other, there are various procedures, and these are those?" She summed up the lesson, having taken quite a few notes.
